Families & Teams: shared vaults for the people you trust

Family

• Up to 6 people, each with their own private vault and Premium included.
• A shared Family collection everyone can add to and edit — plus any extra collections you create (e.g. "Kids", "Bills", "Streaming").
• Choose who sees each collection, so the kids don't see the banking.

Teams

• Billed per seat, from 4 seats — then add exactly as many people as you need.
• Roles: the owner manages billing; admins manage members and collections; members use what they're given.
• Per-collection access: everyone, or specific people, with view-only or edit rights.
• Require 2FA or passkeys for every member.
• Team activity log: see who joined, what changed and when.

How the encryption works

Each family or team has its own encryption key, created in the owner's browser. When someone joins, an owner or admin's browser encrypts that key with the new member's public key — the step called confirming a member. Shared items are encrypted with keys that are wrapped by the team key, so only confirmed members can read them. Which collections each member can see is enforced by our server; what's inside them is readable only by members.

Getting started

1. Open the account menu → Families & teams and create a family or team. New ones start with a 7-day free trial.
2. Invite people by email. If they don't have an account yet, the invitation helps them create one.
3. When they accept, confirm them (one click — and a fingerprint check if you like).
4. Add items to collections — or move existing items in from your own vault.
